Welcome to the official online home for Gatesville Parks & Recreation athletics and youth programming. We are proud to offer fun, safe, and competitive recreational opportunities for children and adults in our community. From youth baseball and softball to volleyball, soccer, flag football, and adult softball leagues, our programs are designed to help participants stay active, build friendships, learn teamwork, and create lasting memories.
Our goal is to provide quality recreational experiences for athletes of all ages and skill levels while promoting sportsmanship, community involvement, and personal growth. We are excited to have you join us this season and look forward to seeing your family at the fields, courts, and parks throughout the year. Welcome to the team!

Season: Spring
Date Range: February – July
Ages: 4–14 years old
Youth Baseball through Gatesville Parks & Recreation gives players the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of baseball while developing teamwork, sportsmanship, and confidence. Divisions range from T-Ball through Kid Pitch and are organized by age as of August 31st of the current year. The season includes skills days, team drafts, practices, league games, and postseason tournament opportunities.
TEXAS TEENAGE BASEBALL
Season: Spring
Date Range: February – July
Ages: 4–15 years old
Youth Softball is designed to help young athletes build softball fundamentals in a fun and competitive environment. Players will learn hitting, fielding, throwing, and teamwork while competing in age-appropriate divisions (age as of August 31 of the previous year). The program includes practices, league games, and opportunities for tournament play throughout the season.
TEXAS TEENAGE SOFTBALL
Season: Summer, and Fall
Ages: 18+
Adult Softball offers men’s, women’s, and coed league opportunities for players of all skill levels. Games are played in a recreational yet competitive atmosphere focused on teamwork, community involvement, and staying active. Teams compete in league play with postseason tournaments available during select seasons.

Ages: 5 years old - 6th Grade
Youth Flag Football is a fast-paced recreational league that teaches the fundamentals of football without contact tackling. Players develop skills such as passing, receiving, defense, teamwork, and sportsmanship while competing in age-based divisions. Games are typically played on weekday evenings with skills days and team drafts held before the season begins.
YOUTH VOLLEYBALL
REGISTRATION IS OPEN NOW THROUGH AUGUST 28TH
Date Range: August – October
Ages: 3rd–6th Grade
Youth Volleyball teaches players the fundamentals of serving, passing, setting, and teamwork in a positive and encouraging environment. The program focuses on skill development while helping athletes gain confidence and experience through practices and league games.
YOUTH SOCCER
Season: Winter/Spring
Date Range: January – March
Ages: 4 years old – 8th Grade
Youth Soccer provides players with an opportunity to learn the game in a fun and instructional setting. Athletes will develop dribbling, passing, shooting, and defensive skills while learning teamwork and sportsmanship. The league includes practices, games, skills days, and age-based divisions for boys and girls.
